About BBK.............Betsy Brydon K... I have been creating art for most of my life. I studied drawing and illustration for about 8 years, and figure drawing remains a favorite pastime. I received my BFA in Illustration from Parson's School of Design in New York City, and continued my studies with the David Passalacqua School of Drawing and Illustration where I spent many years doing location drawing at Disney World in Florida and various places in and around New York. I have experience in many other areas, including window display, letterpress printing and mural painting. I have also been involved with computers since 1984, including Quantel Paint and Animation systems (what used to be the standard in television production) and Apple Macintosh. (I love my Mac!) I worked in television production for about 12 years creating logos, art and animation for many on-air departments including MTV and VH1. Among other things, I currently develop websites with my husband Edward and I play music regularly with a huge group of friends known as the Broome Street Band. |
